Introduced in 2015 the Hydra® pioneered a button safety. The textured firing button is protected by a sculpted titanium swivel cover that adds both aesthetics and assurance.
Precision engineered with a stainless charging handle and carbon fiber charging plate, the Hydra deploys with speed and force. A weighty handle absorbs firing energy and the redesigned Hydra® V3 places an emphasis on ergonomics with a newly shaped handle that provides a better grip and feels more comfortable in your hand. An improved blade-to-handle ratio adds to the knife’s overall sleek and modern appearance and ensures a more balanced feel. The Hydra® V3 comes standard with a machined pocket clip that is both more durable and more visually appealing, seamlessly integrating with the knife’s overall design.

Was excited to stumble upon the V3 in stock at a few dealers [with the Magnacut blade and a shape (recurve) that I wasn’t familiar with from past research.] I’ve been seeking a quality, affordable single action OTF knife for years, and nearly settled for the couple variants that I could find in stock anywhere (earlier versions in either a jade G10 or Copper that, while each unique weren’t what I really wanted.) Bought this all-black stonewashed recurve immediately upon finding it, and it is every bit as impressive as I imagined now that it’s in- hand. My Heretic collection only consists of a Nephilim and now this Hydra… can’t wait to add some more since every single model/ variety which I have seen thus far has been truly top tier. Great work!
